真实性是新闻的生命，也是新闻工作的基本要求和普遍准则。但现在的很多新闻连这个基本要求都达不到，在新闻实践中新闻失实报道层出不穷。本文结合近几年新闻失实的典型案例，对其产生的原因进行了深入的分析；新闻失实虽然经常受到揭露和批评，但失实的报道仍然会出现在大众的视野中，为此本文整理了相关文献，并提出了相应的防范措施，比如加强法治管理、提高职业队伍素质等，以此减少甚至杜绝新闻失实带了的不良影响。
