Often you will give your child two or three kinds of cues at the same time. In addition to all ofthe cues that you have just read about, refer back to the suggestions given in the second part of Chapter 2 on how to create situations that give your child a reason to communicate. Many of those ideas on how to engineer your child's environment, such as giving him his food bit by bit or doing something silly, also cue him to take a turn.
