鑑於宿舍為數拾年之建物，寢室內電線已老舊劣化，加上舍友普遍電氣使用習慣不良，宿舍於105年4月27日，因 247-3房舍友電氣使用不當引發電氣火災，火勢雖於第一時間撲滅，但仍造成部份財損及居住人員恐慌。
有效管理寢室用電安全，宿舍擬於一樓信箱區設置電子監視供電專區，每一寢室均配置對應房號可上鎖之置物格供舍友使用，請每房提供一條6切6開延長線。
宿舍電子監視供電區預定於105年8月1日起正式啓用，房間於7/18起開始施工，若造成不便尚請見諒!
